People ask why we don’t have a flash wall. The answer is simple: we’re not that kind of shop.
The Problem with Pre-Made
Flash art has its place. But when every shop in town has the same infinity symbols and anchor designs pinned to the wall, you end up with a city full of people wearing the same tattoo.
That’s not what we’re here for.
What Custom Actually Means
At Ink Heist, “custom” isn’t a marketing word. It’s the entire process:
- Consultation first. We talk about what the piece means, not just what it looks like.
- Research phase. Your artist spends time with your references, your story, your body placement.
- Original design. Every stencil is drawn from zero. No tracing. No recycling old designs with minor tweaks.
- Collaborative revision. You see the design before we start. Changes happen on paper, not on skin.
The Wait is Part of It
Our books stay full because this process takes time. You might wait 4-8 weeks for your appointment. That’s not a flex. That’s what it takes to do the work right.
If you want a tattoo today, there are plenty of shops that’ll accommodate you. If you want a tattoo that’s yours and only yours, that’s what we do.
How to Start
Request a consultation through our contact page. Come with ideas, references, and an open mind. We’ll take it from there.
